Children’s Garden Development

divnew

The Children’s Garden, originally conceived on the park’s original 1994 master plan, once completed, will include a grow zone, sensory garden, observation tower, maze, discovery pond, splash pad, lawn, and tunnel area.

The heart of the garden is the outdoor multi-use facility where schools will teach science classes in the outdoors. Here, students will be able to experience the elements of the garden by collecting or studying flowers, insects, ecosystems, and the environment that surrounds them.

This garden and its multi-use facility will also be encouraged as a location for book readings, cultural performances, educational displays, and children’s birthday parties.
