A group of youngsters enjoyed a trip to the Botanic Park to flex their photographic skills last Friday.
The 17 kids, aged between five and 13-years-old, joined the National Trust for the trip, which also included a stop at picturesque Heritage Beach for a picnic.
Each child was given a disposable camera, courtesy of the Camera Store, and, with the help of volunteers, took a close look at the park through the lends of a camera.
The children are now busy selecting their favourite photograph, which will be on display at the Camera Store, George Town, from Friday, 11 August.
Marnie Laing, development and educational specialist at the trust, said: ‘The trip went really well. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves and are now busy choosing their favourite photo to go on display.
‘We are hoping to organise some similar trips over the coming months, including one focusing on water and another on historic sites.’
The Camera Store will be holding an open reception on the 11 August from 4pm to 6pm and all are invited to attend to view the work.
The photos will be on display throughout the month of August.
