Mr. Guthrie has been the General Manager of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park since March 1995. With multiple degrees in Agriculture and Horticulture from West Virginia University and a Diploma in Botanic Garden Management from London's Royal Botanic Gardens, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his management of Cayman's crown jewels of flora in the Botanic Park. He arrived in Cayman after serving as Curator for the Joseph Reynold O’Neal Botanic Gardens in the British Virgin Islands and has held the position of Secretary of the Cayman Islands Orchid Society since 1999.

Mr. Lawrus graduated from Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture, Niagara Falls, Canada and recently graduated from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, London with a International Botanic Garden Management Diploma. He also completed the University of Windsor Commerce Program. Since his arrival on Grand Cayman in 2001, he has advanced from the rank of Garden Supervisor to his current position as the Deputy Manager of the Botanic Park. Mr. Lawrus originally hails from Windsor, Ontario, Canada and moved to Cayman from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where he worked for many years at the University of British Columbia Botanic Gardens.
